An MLS is a cooperative selling system operated by a Local real estate board (e.g. TREB) and accessible to realtors (agents), which contains detailed listing information and search tools.

Realtor.ca (previously mls.ca) is a public website for advertising operated by Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) and accessible to the general public, which displays listing content coming from all MLS systems across Canada and hence give realtors greater listing exposure.
